The history of the Southern Eagle Squadron as a radio control flying club dates back to the mid 1970’s and currently has a membership of approximately 150. We fly at our new field and facilities in the town of Lady Lake in central Florida from 8am to dusk seven days a week year round. The field is located on Rolling Acres Road, one mile south of CR 466
Our facilities consist of two grass runways 480x80’ (North/South & East/West), flying stations with pit positions, transmitter impounds and support buildings, all maintained by the membership. Spectators and visitors are welcome at all times.
We are incorporated in the State of Florida as a Not-For Profit organization and hold AMA Charter 1707. Currently membership dues are $60 yearly with a one-time initiation fee of $50. New member dues only are prorated the first year of membership. Current membership in the AMA is required prior to joining the SES. |
